PUYALLUP, WA -- Saturday, June 13, 2010 Premier completed it's final tune-up prior to leaving for Region IV President's Cup beating Seattle United-Tango 2-0. Twice, WPFC was near perfection, and it was enough to edge Seattle United 2-0.
Bradly and Brandon scored a goal apiece in the first half and Premier finally broke through a solid Seattle United defense at WPFC complex. Premier earned a hard-fought victory.
Bradly "Mac-D" scored his first goal of the season slicing through the United defense in the 15 minute of the first half opening up Premier's account 1-0. Brandon "Gambit" Cardin scored the second goal to put Premier up 2-0 ten minutes before the end of the half.
WPFC coach Abdella Hussen continued to shake up his line-up, starting with Bradly and Dacin Titus on the wings and Jaylon at left back.
Premier controlled possession from the start, Brandon and Alexander "Ruffles" Schneller were the only two players able to create dangerous opportunities. Brandon took advantage of his nifty skills to give WPFC its first chance just two minutes into the match, using a step-over move to clear a defender and set up Bradly inside the area. But Bradly didn't get off a shot as a United defender stole the ball.
Alexander had his own chance with a long-range shot that missed in the seventh minute and with a quick strike from inside the area that was saved by the United keeper in the 20th. Alexander beat a defender again inside the area in the 34th and set up Jaylon "Jay~B" Bond, but shot that missed over the crossbar.
Halftime Premier - 2, Seattle United '96 - Tango - 0
Premier continued to dominate in the second half and had a few opportunities but no additional scoring materialized.
"It wasn't our best match, especially the second half when we tired a bit but we got the players a lot of work at least we got the win, that's what matters now," Abdella said at the end of the match.
