Who doesn't love good news? The squad received not one but two pieces of good news going into the week of the tourney. First, WNG Drew was about 85% and believed he would
be healthy enough to hit the pitch after taking a week off to rehabilitate his knee that was injured in the Diadora Cup. Secondly, FWD/MID Eric from last year's team
accepted Coach Abdella's offer to guess play for the team.

TACOMA, WA -- Both WPFC ’96 squads were crowned champions of the 2008 Rainier Challenge Tournament. The White team won the Copa Division and the Black team won the Samba Division at last weekend’s tournament. In bracket play, the White team scored 12 goals and gave up just 5. Their opening game loss to FPSC Fury (0-3) was avenged when the two met again in the finals with WPFC '96 White winning (2-0).

REDMOND, WA -- Premier ended their successful run through
the Crossfire Challenge with a disappointing 1-1 draw and eventual loss on pks (2-1) to Eastside in the silver bracket on Monday, July 20th. Eastside took the lead early
in the game, when one of their Forwards got between Grant and Jaylon and headed a dribbling cross cross past a helpless Tanner. Premier went in a goal down at the break and

TIGARD, OR -- Premier ended their successful run through
the chinook Cup with a disappointing 0-2 loss at the hands of eventual tourney champion Tynecastle FC. The was compounded by the loss of Alex S. to injury and miss of Gavin. Tynecastle took the lead early in the second half of the match, when one of their Forwards got between Grant and Ben and fired a rocket past Tanner. Premier gave up another ten mins later
